Most NBN/ADSL routers come with 12 V supply. Try that first. They have enough current capability.

Jaycar can probably help you out.

Any 12V 2A power supply with the correct connector should work.

Where in the cord did it break as they're easy to fix?

True, should be very simple to attach new cord and/or connector . And relatively safe to do yourself since it is only 12v power in the cable.
As presence mentioned, Jaycar probably have the cable and/or connector. And I recently purchased a small connector of similar size for about $2 at jaycar. It is slightly more, for the connector pin where you screw in, rather than solder.

You might have something else laying around that has a suitable transformer. I found my massage chair, and my WD external HDD, both function using the transformer from the other.

Where are you located? I have a few 12V 1.5A from external HDDs. Your private messages are turned off.
