Car seat replacement up to $500

My car was in a minor accident, so I get a car seat replacement up to $500 from insurance. I currently have a Maxi Cosi Vela Slim for my 1.5 yo, but am getting really frustrated with not having ISOFIX. I think I want something from Britax because they got the best score in the CREP safety test, but am concerned it will be much more bulky. Does anyone have recommendations for a premium-ish car seat with ISOFIX?

  • britax graphene is the slim version of britax millenia

  • getting really frustrated with not having ISOFIX

Isofix is overrated … most people that need to move car seats regularaly just buy 2.

    Reminds me on this scene

  • I would only go ISOFIX.

But not the Australian crap version of ISOFIX….the real ISOFIX….so I bought my seat from Germany.

    So easy, no top tether.

    • By real isofix do you mean rigid isofix?

    • +1

so I bought my seat from Germany.

So you went out of your way to buy a seat that you can't use legally in Australia?

  • Britax graphene gets excellent reviews for its extended rear facing, ease of installation and comfort for the seat inhabitant. It's also one of the most compact seats on the market.

Isofix is brilliant because it reduces the chance of user error when installing the seat. Check out the fb group 'child restraints - is your child restrained correctly' for ample info on the chairs.
