Booking Confirmed but No Money Deducted from AmEx?

I purchased airline tickets a few days ago on the Oman Air website. Making the booking was easy and I received a confirmation email and booking reference. I am able to log in using this information to manage my booking

BUT

No money has been deducted from my AMEX CC - nor is it in the pending section

Any idea why this might be the case and if I should follow it up with AMEX or Oman Air??

    In your e-ticket is the booking status OK TO FLY ?

    Assuming they issued you an e-ticket, the bottom of the PDF file will have the amount paid including tax surcharges…etc and it should show the last digits of your Amex.

      Yes when I log in using my booking number and surname it says booking confirmed and my CC details are at the bottom

    If you use credit card for the payment, it might take sometime for the appearance of the deduction. I had the same experience with my credit card process ( after one or two days). Then pressed by concern I took all the way to the bank outlet for making sure the payment did go through. The staff and branch manger were not helpful; they were not able to trace the payment. After another sleepless night ( though the other side already confirmed they got the payment ), finally I saw the black and white deduction.Relied !

    It's because of purchasing in a foreign currency. I've had the same, just wait it will come through.

    Have you looked on the website rather than the app?

    My purchases come through straight away so I’d be following that up. Check every couple of days

    Why not contact OmanAir, check, as there might have been a hiccup in their payments systemm. While it shows OK to fly, if the payment is rejected by Amex the booking will be cancelled.

    By at least talking with OmanAir you get some more certainty and they may tell you how long it takes to process payments for bokings via their website.
