Amazon’s Description:

“I want my presentation to blow the audience away.”

“I hate when people text-message during my presentations.”

“I don’t want to be like all the other presenters.

These are the actual words that presenters, particularly college faculty, use when asked about their PowerPoint goals and challenges. They do presentations all the time—in the classrooms, at conferences, and during workshops—yet they rarely learn to communicate effectively.

Bottom line: Isn't that what presentations are supposed to do? Create impact through our words and our slides? In a way that get audiences to go:

Wow. That was clear and to the point.
I want that professor for all my lectures.
I never thought about the topic this way. I’m going to Google more about it.
I’m going to email this presenter … and maybe collaborate!

PRESENTING. The Professor’s Guide to Powerful Communication will show you:

•One simple test to see if your existing presentation slides are any good
•How documentaries (yes—documentaries!) present information more effectively than most of us
•A proven format to engage audiences (Hint: don’t introduce technical terms up front)
•How to deal with the chronic issue of “I have too much to cover!”
•How to create captivating slides—without a degree in design
…..

eBook is free at time of posting. Please check price before buying.

One simple test to see if your existing presentation slides are any good

Textbook authors hate this one simple trick

  • Step 1: get rid of Powerpoint.

    Step 2: ???

    Profit!

People keep upvoting because it's free; well, have a read first, and if you still think it's valuable, then upvote (spoiler alert*).

A lot of worthless things are free - we don't need to upvote everything just because it's free.

    * it has typos in it. Typos that even your web browser would underline with red.
    * the, obviously fake, reviews only span across July 27, and 7 August.

I was upvoting because when it comes to discounted and free business/science/academic e-books, grababargain brings them out of the woodwork like a bloodhound

The reviews could be fake, but the book was only released on the 25th July which explains the dates.

Where are the typos? I spent about 10 mins looking through and didn't notice any. I actually thought it looked really good, it has lots of visual examples and is formatted nicely. I searched the author and he seems to be on the faculty for several universities in New York, so he clearly has some credibility.

      • I have just read the whole read and did not notice any typos too. Ocoolio I have to downvote your comment. Don’t shoot from the heap [sic].

Eg., location 438, table, last row, second column: "…nontheatening/relevant"

Saying that because you don't notice typos, there mustn't be any, even though someone already noticed typos, is a unique approach to life. It reminds me of a story about a flightless bird and some sand.

On the other hand, I won't downvote you - let's keep your post here, maybe others can learn from it.
