David Jones rewards $10 gift card - no stock on anything near me

Tried so many items on the website and nothing is in stock. Looking at either picking up Sydney CBD or around Eastern suburbs. Nothing seems to be available. Voucher expires tomorrow.
Tried kids toys & books, mens underwear, Bonds, T-shirt. Can some please try in any of these categories and make suggestions on what is available?

  • Bondi Junction ladies underwear clearance 5 bucks once scanned - have some bonds etc

    • I need to order click and collect as I cannot choose myself in store.

  • Not in your categories, but Fortnum and Mason jam or box of teabags? They'd definitely be available in the Eastern Suburbs or city as both places have a Foodhall

  • happy to buy the voucher from you if you won't use it.
I have stuff on my wishlist

  • I got two white basic Maxwell Williams Soup bowls and picked up in Garden City WA…. that should be a basic enough item you can find everywhere?

  • You can actually buy another giftcard online for $10 on their website, so you can extend the expiry until you're ready to use it.

  • I think they disabled C&C atm. Anything pricey is also not available.

  • go to food court bondi junction, mine expires tomorrow also

Someone signed me up without my knowledge, so after several attempts I got hold of admin and told them I cant use card right now, but will sign up later

  • No wonder they're losing money, I spent about $100 after using my $10 voucher and they sent the order in 3 separate deliveries.

    • At least two separate stores are sending it in addition to the warehouse. Would you rather that, or have your order cancelled because the warehouse didn't have the stock?

      • Seems to me they need an overhaul on how to process online orders from a centralised location. Glad to get my order but I'd be sad to see them go if they carry on the way they are.

        • You know Myer do the same thing right? They don't even have a warehouse to send it from … (This sending from store thing started around Winter 2018)

  • I had an expired David Jones voucher and just went to the customer service counter in store and they reissued it with a new expiry. If you haven’t used it, try that?

    • Was it a promo one i.e. 30 days expiry? They probably won't do it for promo ones (they definitely will for purchased ones)

      • It actually was a promo one given to me when I bought something else of a certain value. May have been a 2-3 months expiry though. If OP really can’t get there, I would highly recommend trying at customer service.

        • Interesting. Promo cards usually have a 30 day expiry. Never heard of one with a 60 or 90 day expiry date.

Source: worked there eight years until I resigned in October

@kerfuffle: Then it was 30 days, but it was definitely extended by customer service.

    • Thanks for your suggestion but how can i do this without going into store?
      Was your voucher already expired?

      • I had to do it in store.

Yes, my voucher was expired. It wasn’t until maybe 2 weeks after the expiry that it was extended by customer service and there were no questions asked and no issues with getting it done.

This was about a year ago.

Don't check store availability on each item. Instead, put it on your cart, then try check out by choosing click & collect option & choose the store.

I had the same issue and tried to check each departments just to find something. I ended up using my above trick 2 days ago and it worked. I have received email to collect my order from DJ Sydney. :)

    • Thanks for pointing out this.

Got some jars of Hank's Jam, $4.98 each. I think the majority stores have them.

If you are still looking for something you can click and collect a keepcup in various sizes from the Market Street store or Bondi Junction.
