Amazon Prime Day 2019 Beoplay A9 Won't Fulfill Order

Hi all,

So I purchased a Beoplay A9 for around $2500 durjf prime day this year. I just received an email from Amazon "We're still trying to obtain the following item[s] you ordered on 15/07/2019….One of our aims is to provide a convenient and efficient service but in this case, we've fallen short. Please accept our sincere apologies……"

The same product is still being listed as "in stock" and available to be shipped within one week on the Amazon au website, however now at the full price. https://www.amazon.com.au/Beoplay-Wireless-Powerful-Bluetoot…

To me it looks like they can no longer supply the items at the prime day price without making a loss, yet have no problems meeting orders now at the full price so it obviously isn't a stock problem. Is this legal? In both cases the seller was Amazon au themselves.

Anyone in the same or similar situation with other prime day products?

Cheers

They might be doing you a favour.

    • Yeah, I would get the refund and get a KEF LS50W instead.

  • Unfortunately I had same issue with hard drive that a week later after showing backorder, they cancelled it.

So much for their efficient stock management.

They haven't cancelled yet - just apologising for taking longer than expected.

Could you press them for some Amazon credit due to the inconvenience?

    • I got the same then they cancelled a week later

    • Yes but the product is in stock and ready to ship if I purchase now. My gripe is orders should be fulfilled in the order they were placed, regardless of if it was bought in special or not
