  • Tyroola is shit. Claim to have good price.

My Pirelli 295/40/21 was $45 bucks cheaper in Brother Global Tyres in Melbourne

    • 100% agree. Tyres are cheaper elsewhere if you can afford to buy them outright. The premium you pay is for the convenience of afterpay for sure.
      235/40/18 3x Potenza re003 @595(bonus 4th wheel) @ Costco docklands Inc fitting and balance

      Tyroola 195 each(no offer of 4th wheel free), $780 + $15 min fitting per tyre + balance.

      • If you don't have $600 to replace your tyres, you probably shouldn't be splashing the $200 premium just to offset your payments by a few weeks, but that's just my opinion! You're better off using a pay day loan in that instance and I can't believe I just said that.

    • Got to totally disagree with you here. I couldn’t find a better price than Tyroola. I also called up two major chains who claim to have price beat guarantees and they couldn’t beat let alone match the Tyroola price for a couple of Pirelli tyres.

If you want to prove me wrong be my guest…. 245/50/R18 100W Pirelli cinturato p7 run flats fitted in Victoria (two tyres only). $274 each.

Happy for you to find a significantly better price than Tyroola mate…

  • I’m intrigued- in the market for 4 new tyres for Honda Odyssey. Deal offered for pirellis was 132 each incl free mobile fitting and delivery (and 10% off that with peppermint code). Significantly less than I could find elsewhere and they come to me?

    • Obviously @raiseyoursteaks just doesn’t like the retailer for some reason, not sure what he has against their 10% off deal. But ask him for a better price on your tyres, he seems to know a cheap place.

      • -1

295/40 R21 with Load Index 111 and Speed Index Y.

Tyroola's price is still $448 and to get free fitting service, I had to buy 4.

I've got it for $405 fitted, only downside was I had to pay a deposit as he didn't have stock. Which is good in a way as I would not be getting old tyres.

After the experience I figured Tyroola is all a sales gimmick. Sure you can try to price match with some Bob JTM but they can't come close.

        • Well I've got to disagree with you again there. Tyroola offered me the best advertised price on the tyres I was after (incl. fitting) @ $274 each, and however I went with Bob Jane in the end as they were happy to price beat @ $270 each (fitted) just by showing them the Tyroola offer (Bob Jane TM's original offer to me was $370/tyre - so good on them for honouring their price beat policy, lot's of places are just full of it when they offer it).

Seems like your experience has tainted your view of 10% off, as I've just provided a real example of why Tyroola isn't a sales gimmic. I've used them for my tyres for the past ~5 years.

          • @financialminimalism: I'm all for bargains and who gives me a cheaper price. Will check again when I next purchase.

My experience with BTM might not be as good as yours and I checked the one in Ringwood and Ferntree Gully.

  • 215/55/r17 sorry

The odyssey chews tyres at under 30k despite rotations/alignments/higher pressures regardless tried Bridgestone everything so trying something different.

  • +1

I've used them and was pretty happy. Saved $800 on 4x 20" Pirellis.

  • +1

Took off 12% for me and didn't need to pay with Afterpay.

    • Nice. Yeah afterpay isn't a requirement for the offer.
