Didn't really know where to ask this, but I'll ask here anyway.
Can black wii's play DVD movies?
I want to entertain my kids with games while on holidays and be able to watch some movies myself.
I heard that the first-gen wii couldn't, but I have no idea about these later one.

It cant play DVD movies anymore on the new models. Hardware restricted, so even after softmod it wont work. (Even games burned wont work, only USB)
I believe you need a modded wii to do that. More hassle (and money) than just get a $50 yum-cha DVD player.
