I have spent 20 hours with this game.

There's lots of content if you're into local multiplayer.

Single player is about 8-10 hours depending on skill.

    Online is dead.

At this price? Not worth it. Maybe when it's $39. Worth it if your family and friends love to play the multiplayer aspect of it. Heaps of characters and solid gameplay. Motion controls are horrible though.

    7/10.

    • How is online dead? I've played like 100 games online in the last week

      • Is it free to play?

Not sure, waiting 15 minutes for one game and only getting about 6 in the 50 times I tried to get an online match in a few months? Does that sound dead to you?

      • Yeah it's been free to play for the week, so not exactly a fair indication of what online play is typically like.

Nintendo Switch is $369 though I think everyone will be waiting for the new model.
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is $70

    • 3rd party seller on that controller, with the amount of fakes out there I wouldn't trust it for $30

      • +1

The $70 one is from Amazon. It's the cheaper ones that are from 3rd party sellers.

  • Anyone seen the v2 in Australia retailers yet?

    • According to Press Start, you can pick one up in JB Hifi for $449.

      • Grabbed the Switch during the Ebay Plus promotion for $315. Could sell it now for $350 to get this new one but is it worth the extra $84?

        • +1

Who is paying $350 for second hand switch?

          • @PlagueistheCheap: Gumtree.

Throw-in a game or two that I have played to death and for sure.

            • +1

@hey aj: Depending on the games though, you could probably get at least $40-50 or so for a couple of them so you're really only getting around $300 for the switch (but less grey hairs selling them all at once)

              • @aragornelessar: Yeah, I have always found selling stuff to be so tedious and time-consuming. I am the guy who would rather just flog it off to a mate for less as it is easier than dealing with a stranger but you are right, could make a better return if I put in the effort and time.

I'm tempted by Donkey Kong, currently $54.99 on Amazon which seems pretty good.

Yeah it's a good game. Really tough.

      • I like games that are tough in that way. Unlike Yoshi's crafted world which is really easy but have to replay each level million times to gather all the sunflowers to progress through all the levels.

I caved and purchased. Looking forward to giving it a crack!

  • Don't particularly want to fork out $100 for an extra two joycons. Any cheap alternatives which you guys recommend?

  • Purchased pro controller for $56 from Amazon I'll see if it's a fake as I already own a Pro controller.
Amazon will gladly refund money if there's an issue not a risk.

    • which buyer? are you able to let us know how the product is when you got it?
