  • hmm, interesting to see what the new variant will look like

  • Strongly inspired by IWC, both the name and design

    • Strongly imitating CWC, although MWC's claims for providing watches to military were far more outlandish than CWC's.

Interesting thread about the use (or not) of MWC watches in the military or police. Takeaways seem to be that MWC don't claim to be standard issue but have supplied watches to some units at some stage.

Owners of the MWCs seem to be fans of their quartz models but not keen on automatics.

  • Just saying from experience , parts( hands , dial , crown etc) from making these most likely coming from replica makers .

MWC , IWC , just easy swapping out text when printing the dial

  • While there's more to a watch than its components, I would not pay this much for a quartz movement + mineral glass + no real heritage + very obvious "homage".

    • Have to agree. Can get a way better watch from seiko or citizen for this money.

      • The movement is a Swiss Ronda which is decent for the money, and both Seiko and Citizen quartz watches generally use Hardlex or mineral glass at sub $500 price points anyway. Not sure that they make a much better watch for the money, but we'll see how MWC stack up in terms of build quality. Most cheaper watches have at least some level of "homage" to them which I'm fine with.
