At this price it's a steal. Never seen it so low. The usual go-to site for these bluetooth squares is https://www.tictacarea.com/en/casio-g-shock-watches/casio-gw…. As you can see, $160 vs. $220. I bought the blue one, GW-B5600-2ER, from TicTac but am finding the negative display too much for my old eyes - definitely more suited to the younger clientele. Haven't bought from Watches2U but they have a good rep on Manontime.

    This one has the expensive band resin, in case you don't like the usual G-Shock one. Could be a negative or positive for some.

    This isn't a smart watch, as with all current Casios the bluetooth link is severely limited. It doesn't do music control or notifications. The smartest thing it can do is set a reminder and set the time on the watch.

      Blue ones come with usual for G-Shocks resin band, and all black and yellows with combi bracelet, that's why I think price is different.

    Watches2U is an AD, as is TicTac. It's a G-shock so doubt there will be a problem, therefore wouldn't fuss me to buy grey. I don't think Toby is an AD.

    I'm an accuracy freak so the bluetooth is there to keep the watch accurate to the second. There are bluetooth G-shocks that measure your steps/control music, but not for me. Current list of G-shocks with bluetooth, https://world.g-shock.com/asia-mea/en/products/finder/?func=….

    So, it looks like the Atomic time sync feature will be useless in Australia, at least Perth. But, bluetooth sync to a phone should be good enough - right?

      Yes. Four times a day at 6.30 and 12.30 watch will sync with your phone using bluetooth.

    I ordered one of these and it was dispatched from Germany last week - it just landed in Sydney, not the best location when I'm in Perth.

    So, I guess I'll be up for another week of waiting for it to get across the country.

      It's fine. This is my second and both have sync'd straightaway. You have to be within 1m of the phone according to the user guide.

        Some of the reviews are saying that the app uses a lot of battery - I downloaded it last night and I'm running it in demo mode and it's only used 1% so far. Although, it's obviously not sync with anything yet.

          Mine shows 1.6% and I don't leave bluetooth turned on all the time to save battery. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.team_shink… to auto turn on for a 4mins four times a day at 12.30 and 6.30. I have the app to autostart with no battery restrictions. I think a lot of people have had problems because they didn't have the app set to autostart.

            @Iangh: Finally received my watch yesterday.

            Got it connected to the app to perform initial setup. I'm wondering how you can prove whether the auto time adjustment is actually working. RCVD on the screen indicates that it has received an update - but once it's on the screen it just stays there. How can you tell that it's actually connecting 4 times a day to get an accurate time?

            I've tried clearing the RCVD (by manually adjusting the time on the watch - add 1 hour, subtract 1 hour). And, I've gone past 12:30am and 6:30am and it never updated.

              @AdrianW: Keep the watch away from the phone and notice how the RCVD goes missing. The phone tries at 6.30 and 12.30 to talk to the phone, if the phone doesn't say 'hi' then no RCVD. It only needs one update a day to be super-accurate. I doubt it would be a second out if you kept it away from the phone for a 3-4 days.

              You can see the watch syncing at about 12.30.30 and 6.30.30, it says CNCT.

                @Iangh: So, it's the watch the initiates the sync not the phone - interesting.

                I've seen some forum posts saying that there's a history of the last four syncs in the app - but I've not seen any yet.
