Bit more like an enema deal.

  • Is this worth playing yet, or have I missed the boat on this one?

I really enjoyed the last big update, and the latest one is supposedly amazing. Plus if you're into VR, this game is supposedly a wonderful VR experience (which comes with the normal copy of the game)

      • What is the game about? Is it explore? Sandbox? What is the objective. Any game you can compare it to

        • Exploration sandbox game. It has a story to follow along but the main idea of the game is discovery.

You can base build, trade, take on missions for the factions. I would associate it most with Elite Dangerous / Star Citizen with the exploration side of it but it is still its own game with quite a bit to it.

    • I've been in since NEXT and I'm having a lot of fun. The new update is causing me some grief though. It disconnects fairly often, loss of progress, buildings and even a large ship I obtained. It will be great once the kinks from the update are all worked out.

    • Question is: Is it really multiplayer now? When first released, the devs lied about it being multiplayer because the universe was that massive that they didn't expect people to see each other. lol. They got busted for lying in a huge scandal.

      • It sure is! It is awesome to do tasks with friends. And when you are in a group playing together you can use each others base teleporters which is pretty damn awesome!

Understand the lack of trust I also got burned (preordered) but I love the game, been playing since the previous large update. If you played on release or watched anybody play its almost an entirely different game, these updates are no small feats, they are huge overhauls and additions to the game

Still about triple the reasonable price for this game, though, no?

Some of the best games of the last few years are $5-$10 in sales, surely $25+ is too much for a "massive disappointment at release but slightly better now it's 3 years old"?

    • +2

Much better than at release, almost a different game. Plus, they've shown that they're still committed to constant updates, it's not like a 3 year old game that is about to be abandoned. I'd say it's worth it for around $30!

    • I get what you are saying and don't disagree per se. But thats just more those games being insanely good deals than this being bad.
For how much entertainment you get out of games compared to other entertainment, people seem to be a bit picky on the costs.

I don't think it's worth negging because you disagree with the price. The deal itself is the best price available for a Steam key at the moment.

I played a couple of hours of the new update this week, and I really enjoyed it. I liked it at launch, but now there's a lot more to do.

        Also, your pic is wrong.
        100 x 1.15 = 115
        115 x 0.8 = 92

An 8% saving is still decent!

  • the review is not good.

    • The game has changed substantially

    • A lot of reviews bombed it at release, since then there have been multiple HUGE updates by Hello Games, I preordered it and was dissapointed, since then I picked it up at last years big update and love it, have not had a chance to play this update yet due to personal reasons but I am excited to dive back in!

  • Can someone confirm the legitimacy of eneba.com?

    • can't confirm, but it's better/cheaper to get it from GOG if you're interested in the game (current $30.99 AUD)

    • Depends what you call legitimate.

The keys work, but they're not official resellers though. Devs make zero from these websites.

  • Developers don't make a single cent from this mob. Cheap doesn't always mean better. You might as well pirate for free than buy from these places (something many developers have actually come out and said in interviews).
