Philips Multigroom Series 7000 MG7720/15 $70.40 + Delivery (Free with eBay Plus/C&C) @ Bing Lee eBay

Original Coupon Deal

I rarely post, however got a price drop of $10 notice today via email.

$70.40 for eBay plus members is the cheapest ever for the 7000?
I recently bought the 5000 via Myer eBay for $47, main difference is a few attachments and longer battery life as far as I'm aware.

If I was eBay plus member, I'd probably buy this and return the 5000.

Great price, recently on Shavershop for $89 on sale.

Bought this at the Shavershop sale for $89. Works great, I only use it for minor trimming of my beard and it does everything very well. Would buy again.

  • Worth creating a new eBay account to grab eBay plus for free?

I wonder if it's worth the extra $23? 3 extra attachments and longer battery. I actually have gift cards too, so this would be $70.40 minus 10% which is basically $63. I bought that 5000 for $47 minus 10%, around $42.

  • Great price!
I bought this for my hubby from the Shavershop sale too, ($79.95 delivered w/$10 voucher & Shipster).
One main difference that appealed to me was…
    7000 is ‘showerproof’
    5000 is ‘waterproof for cleaning’
    Less mess for shaving heads!

    • is this for beard or hair on the head?

    • +1

Actually the website says both are showerproof.

Mainly difference is 16 hour charge for 80 minutes, vs 1 hour charge for 120 minutes.

      Beard, body grooming.

    • Sorry, just checked mine, it is actually model MG7730 (16 tools). This one does say it it shaves hair (on head) too.

  • Any idea if this is suitable for minimal hair, asian mo shaving? I see it has a foil attachment that could probably do the trick…

Otherwise, anyone have recommendations for the less hair inclined?

    • how about just a razor blade?

      • I find I always end up cutting myself with those. Not sure if sensitive skin or I'm too unco

  • Thanks, bought one!

    • I bought the last one, however they've restocked.

  • I bought this to replace my old failing Phillips beard trimmer and it pretty much cuts the same.

Here are my two cents; if you are using it only for trimming your beard I would suggest getting another model that has the built in adjustable length feature. Those area more convenient than having to remove the attachment for every mm.

If you want the ability to trim your side fade then this is pretty good, but it's not a great replacement for a propper hair trimmer. However, since it comes with a plethora of extra attachments it's probably better value overall.

The lithium-ion battery is bloody great and the main reason to purchase the 7000 model over the lower models.

Don't forget to register it for 5 years warranty!

    • This one has an adjustable length attachment. Bottom row on the left.
