[Clearance] Ridge Ryder 4WD Recovery Kit (Was $299) $98.36 + Delivery @ Supercheap Auto eBay

150
PICKLE

I've copied much of Optimus Prime's earlier deal for this.

Good price drop on this 4WD kit for off-road enthusiasts. It was $299, went down to $169, and then $143.65 with previous code, so this is a new low.

eBay has it now for $101.40 - 3% code ($3.04) = $98.36 Click & Collect. You can add $6.95 for shipping, even to woop woop, for a total of $105.31

Edit: Shipping is more varied than I thought.

  • Port Hedland in the far north of WA (nearest SCA is 1300km) is $6.95
  • Alice Springs (nearest SCA is in town) is $30
  • Broken Hill (nearest SCA is 400km) is $11.50

The postage prices for the SCA eBay store are all over the place. You'd best check your postcode.

It's available at the SCA website as well, but at the higher price of $101.40

Don't be a mug like me and miss the PICKLE code. The lost $3.04 will haunt me.

Product Details:

This Recovery kit is a great collection of must have tools for any off-road enthusiast with a recovery winch. First off, the snatch strap included is designed to use elastic properties to give greater assistance when recovering vehicles. When attached to appropriate recovery points between two vehicles, the vehicle performing the recovery will pull away this nylon webbed strap causing it to stretch much like a rubber band. The kinetic energy created from this stretch will then provide greater pulling power on the vehicle being recovered, while also reducing the likelihood of any vehicle damage being caused. The Ridge Ryder 11,000kg Snatch Strap is designed with larger four wheel drives in mind with an approximate 5,500kg safe working load.

An Equalizer strap is designed to equalize the weight from 2 recovery points to ensure even safe movement of the 4WD during the recovery. This can be used in a snatch strap or winching situation. The Ridge Ryder 8,000kg Equalizer Strap has an approximate 4,000kg safe working load. The Ridge Ryder Tree Trunk Protector has a safe working load of 3,250kg which makes it suitable for most 4wds and off-road vehicles. Unlike a snatch strap or recovery strap, a tree trunk protector is designed with polyester webbed strap to even the weight load to prevent damage to trees when winching.

This kit also includes an 4,500kg extension strap for winch cable extending, an 8,000kg Snatch block for doubling the winch capacity, 2 x 4,700kg bow shackles, a handy storage bag and must have leather gloves. Be sure to check out our 4WD recovery videos for safety tips and more information.

The ultimate recovery kit, all you need to get started stored conveniently in a bag.
The kit includes:

  • 1 x 11,000kg nylon snatch strap
  • 1 x 8,000kg equalizer strap
  • 1 x 6,500kg tree trunk protector
  • 1 x 4,500kg winch extension strap
  • 1 x 8,000kg snatch block
  • 2 x 4,700kg bow shackles
  • 1 x pair of leather gloves

I am in woop woop (regional NSW). Even with code entered and eBay Plus membership, postage is showing as $34.50. Did I not use the secret handshake?

    • That's odd. I'm quite remote in the far north of WA and it still shows $6.95 for me. I didn't think that anything on the main land would be more expensive than my address.

I just tried a remote NSW postcode for Tibooburra 2880 and it came to $11.50. Alice Springs 0870 is $30.

It looks like I jumped the gun on the shipping costs. Sorry about that, I'll amend the deal.

Lol. Or sadly into a pickle if you're unlucky or don't know what you're doing: https://mr4x4.com.au/young-man-dies-4wd-recovery-gone-wrong/ He's not the first and won't be the last unfortunately. Winching and snatching have inherent dangers, not the least of which are poorly designed/weak recovery points on expensive 4WDs.

I was with family have bbq overlooking the beach near where I live, it was low tide so it was mostly sand up to about 70m offshore. These idiots in their pretender 4wds went out and drove on the wetsand. One of them got bogged, (who would have thought a 2WD is not equipped for that), and the other one tried to get him out. They tied some REGULAR ROPE between them and then tried to do a snatch. Suprisinly the rope took the first attempt but snapped on the second attempt, and smashed the rear windscreen, but wasn't heavy enough to go through to the driver. Morons.

Meanwhile my family and I are watching from the BBQ area, with two decked out 200 Series Cruisers between us. And some other guys were watching, some with decked out 4WDs too. Everyone just watching and laughing. N o one was going to help these idiots in case they damage their cars.

Eventually the police came out and they called a tow truck, and they ran their line out from the ramp to the bogged car and pulled him out.
