tldr - what's the best sites to use to track my flights for Flight Centre's Price Drop Protection?
My work was going to organise a trip for me. I was given a budget - but using their travel services they weren't able to make it happen under budget.
I thought that was nonsense, the smallest amount of googling showed much cheaper alternatives.
To make sure I did things properly, I had to get a quote, have work approve them and then pay. I saw the guy from FC on Thursday afternoon (held my flights), got approved by travel by lunchtime on Friday and had it all paid for by COB on Friday. The thing is that the guy from FC held the wrong flights and the cheaper ones (~$400 cheaper) were all gone by Friday afternoon. I didn't realise it at the time, but the ones he held, also had a considerably longer transit period.
He mentioned that if find the same flights cheaper, that Flight Centre's Price Drop Protection will give me some of that money back. I was wondering what the best sites would be to track these flights?
You got a written quote from FC with the correct cheaper flights….got approved….but the flights aren’t there…. so how can you pay for them?
