This game has gone free yesterday. It has not got great ratings on Steam but at the price of free this might be worth trying out. The graphics look pretty good at least.

From the website:

Through faster-than-light technology, nations strive to colonize the universe while fighting for control and freedom throughout space. Play as mercenary Acero Astra, hired to defend and escort a space convoy from destruction. Pilot the prototype Valkyrie mecha on land, sea, and air to neutralize opposing forces. You must interact with characters, machines, and the environment to achieve your objectives and progress throughout the game.

  • Explore a sci-fi setting with a cyberpunk twist.

    Love the review. 24gb ram 6 core processor and good video card - still laggy…

      While good to have reviews I would always be cautious unless all reviews mention that problem.
      We have no idea what else is on that PC? Maybe it loads up lots of software running on the background on startup, has components that do not work well together etc.

        Optimisation is also a major point in performance, not just hardware wise

          Sure. But it seems the other reviews do not mention it so my guess it is that guy's PC.

        The reviews say mostly negative and even the positive reviews complain about bugs, etc. Are you sockpuppetting? There is no reason to defend the game if every review has at least one word of saying its buggy.

          Mate, I know about its reviews. It has plenty of bugs.
          But I consider laggy and bugs two different things.
          We have a high end PC at work that cannot run The Journey Down without lag while my cheapie $200 laptop with integrated graphics can.
          Is that the game's fault, especially since no-one else reports such a performance (and that game has great ratings)? Of course not.

          Plus, with all reviews I am cautious. I have games with great reviews that are bad and games with mediocre reviews I love.
          Lots of people seem to have very high, unrealistic expectations.

          The game is free, so nothing lost if it turns out to be not running on your PC, is laggy, or the bugs get to you to much. Delete the game from your library and forget about it.

          Finally, I would be very careful with your quick accusations mate. Accusations like that are not okay and pretty offensive.

    It also has trading cards.

    Free to Play packages don't drop trading cards.

    This if Free to play. It won't stay in your game library once deleted off your system (except for save files).

        Strange, I even downloaded it fully, then removed it and - poof! It's gone from my library. Oh well, mostly negative anyway.
