Chemist Warehouse Warranty on Waterflosser

Hi everyone,

I bought this Waterpik waterflosser from Chemist warehouse about 20 months ago (12/2017). Now it stopped working. Is there any chance that I can ask for a warranty from them? (I don't think that I can find the receipt, but my credit card transaction).

Thanks!

What did they say when you asked them?

What is the manufacturer warranty? Did you read the box?

I'm going to lean towards a $100ish small consumer appliance having a warranty of ~12 months, not 20. But go back to where you bought it and ask them.

just curious, how do you work out warranty based on price of goods?

also curious, how much is reasonable warranty for a coffee $5000 coffee machine?

      thanks

      • There's no set formula unfortunately, just "reasonable" expectation…

For a $5k coffee machine you'd also have to look at its features etc. If it's a commercial level coffee machine with all the bells and whistles that normally costs $20k, then you'd expect the $5k machine to last less. If it's a $5k premium model of a machine you'd otherwise find for $1.5k, then you'd expect it to last longer.

Comes with 2 years warranty so take it back to chemist warehouse.

    • Thanks. But without the receipt, do they accept that?

      • Yes a credit card statement is acceptable providing there's adequate info about your purchase. They're most likely able to look up the purchase with just a date anyway.

    • Ha! The US version has 3 years warranty.

    Try asking them.

  • like you mentioned, have a look for the CC transaction in your account statement.
some places will accept that and also they can possibly do a search of their system and find the purchase.
It may7 be store specific, i.e. at Bunnings they can find your purchase, but only at the store you bought it from, not for another store.

use an app (I use this: >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.stoik.mdsc…) >> comes up for free occasionally.
there is also this from Adobe, but looking at reviews there are useability issues https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.scan…
    There are many other options
Scan all receipts, save to phone and also backup to cloud.

    Former CW employee,

They can look up your sale history and reprint the receipt. If you show your CC statement.

Just go straight to the back ,usually the poor pharmacist deal with product replacement. I've replaced so many while I worked at CW.
