Currently £7.35 Cashback (was £10 until last Sunday) from topcashback if you top up at least £10.

  • Cheaper than Three Plans so might be a good deal.

Thank you just ordered for my neighbors.

I used this last year. Good value and easy to setup

  • At the moment, Europe roaming is included. Well worth it if your going anywhere in Europe, not just UK.

If your laying over outside of Europe, Three worked in middle east/ Asia for me though.

    What happens 1 Nov/post brexit?

    • Wailing and gnashing of teeth.

    • Interesting question. I wonder all free EU roaming SIMs will stop roaming without extra charge?

In theory they have commercial contracts in place, so it should be business as usual. But of course it'll depend on the operators as UK carriers won't be bound by EU requirements to "roam like home".

AFAIK Three is the only one who has promised things won't change, the rest have said "No plans to change, but we'll work with Govt"

        • That's great - thanks!

Good offering, but not strictly a deal. This has been their standard offer for at least 7 years or more. I got 2 of their free international shipping sims to go to the London Olympics in 2012.

Perhaps Ozbargain needs a international sim page (wiki) ?

Surely this is only a deal depending on where you are traveling to in Europe? Low cost destinations should be cheaper eg Greece starter packs for 12eur with 20gbp. I believe these roam as well.

    • Greece starter packs - did you mean to purchase in the country youre in? either way, it would be safer to purchase and set up in australia

      • Yep, I mean purchase in country you are in.

  • is this the best prepaid card and cheapest just to receive a few calls and use data in uk? also if i use referral link it "to get £10 extra credit when you activate your SIM before 31/8/19. " so that date has passed is it best to use https://www.topcashback.co.uk/giffgaff/ instead now?

  • Anyone experienced submitting "proof of UK residency" according to "https://www.giffgaff.com/help/articles/usingyourmobileabroad"?

I will land in Heathrow and taking eurostar to Paris in November, just don't know if giifgaff is good for me or I should just get the Three UK 12GB sim.

    Ta.

Just be aware. If you are getting this sim card to use elsewhere than UK.. You will only get 14 days access included in goodybags.. If you have a stop over in UK be sure to turn on phone there as will activate it to enable 63 days

I bought for 17 days in Germany as Germany is much more expensive for data and had a difficult last few days with no internet and they told me tough luck…

    Response from them

In line with EU laws, you are entitled to a maximum of 63 days of EU roaming at no extra cost within a four month period (14 days for newly activated members). As you have used all of these since going abroad, your RLAH feature has now switched off, and unfortunately the above rules mean that we cannot override this for you, as much as I wish I could. RLAH will automatically switch back on at the end of the four month period (which began from your first day of roaming). At that point, you're entitled to the full 63 days.

As this is no longer active on your account, your goodybag will not work outside of the UK and you will need to add airtime credit to continue using services on your SIM card whilst abroad. I know this isn't ideal but these are the EU laws that we have to abide by however having an active goodybag does entitle you to discounted EU roaming rates as follows:

    3.3p per minute
    1p per text
0.47p per MB. (less than a penny)

  • Does anyone have any experience of this?

I'm going to UK and Europe for almost 2 months from New Year 2020. From their website, it stated its a monthly sim only plans? But on certain websites it says its only valid for 14 days?

    When should I order/activate it?

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this.

    Cheers
