    No, it is American Kosso Wood, which i am told is sustainable sourced by Wilds Wood (Manufacturer), good question though

        Well i just did, it was Added into CITES Appendices in 2017.
        https://www.cites.org/eng/app/appendices.php#ftnt10

        All New cutting and lumbering of "Kosso", is restricted post 2017.

        But those (Wilds Wood) and others who have the wood already sourced from before the 2017 addition into CITES can make and sell all products containing this type of wood. Which they are doing without any problem.

        Therefore making this bargain deal that we have posted into a Limited Edition as no new logging of Kosso is going to be happening, that is why we have limited quantities of stock available. Once stock runs out there will be no more Kosso wooden watches for anyone.

          "Limited edition" is a little different than "sustainable sourced", but at least we all know now.

            @GG57: All good mate, sustainable sourced is still applicable, This was not illegally sourced in the first place. As soon as the Wood was added to CITES the manufacturer decided to stop the (raw timber logs) imports, and used what they had legally sourced to manufacture the current watch selection. Its limited edition bit was my own sales picth….hope it works

    As advised by Wilds Wood (manufacturer) it is treated and sealed wood bands, which they assure me is splash/water resistant
