be warned these have very slow write speeds

    • sorry can you elaborate? is it slow relative to what 3.1 offers?

I have the USB-C only version of this one that was cheap from MSY a while ago.

        16MB/sec sustained write

        Reads are pretty fast.

        • oh jesus damn ok…thanks Coxymla!

  • Hmmmmmm……..could be very lucrative for the iPad Pro when it supports direct USB access (iPad OS)

    DO NOT BUY THIS DRIVE!

I wont neg because the price is fine, but I purchased this during the Amazon prime day sales, it was utter garbage! Read speeds were sub 100Mbps (no bad) but the write speeds were under 20Mbps, and this was connected using USB-C 3.1. I returned it.

Avoid this product at all costs!

Not everyone is a power user. You make it sound like 20mb/s is the devil's work. Do you have an alternative to a better product that offers the same functionality for a similar price? If not, then this does the job just fine. I have one, and I use it for small jobs. Very convenient.

True if you are moving small files then this might be suitable, but I bought the 256GB model and wanted to move large amounts of data. This was running at USB 2.0 speeds. I ended up buying one of these (https://www.sandisk.com.au/home/mobile-device-storage/ultra-…) it was cheaper and speeds were around 3 to 4 times faster in my testing.

      • I can vouch. Don't use very often, transfer few gig files max at a time and it works perfectly. Have 128GB model.

  • The 128GB be ok for PS Classic? (or any other suggestions around the $30 mark?)

  • Got one! Thanks! I am looking forward using this on my phone to pc transfer. 20mbps isnt bad for me.

Can Anyone suggest faster than this?

    Ty
