Chronic dns_probe_finished_bad_config - New Modem Needed?

I'm chronically and intermittently getting dns_probe_finished_bad_config errors with FlipTV's Fibre to Node NBN. I've updated the firmware and resetted the modem with no improvement. I've also flushed the DNS. FlipTV say its not an issue on their side. Anyone with bigger brains than me know if this is true or how I could potentially fix this without buying a new modem?

    What's with all the tech support on Ozbargain today?

    Try setting your DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1
