This is a great price for a very highly rated game -it could even be the all-time lowest price.

From the website:

In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station — your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities. The fate of the Talos I and everyone aboard is in your hands.

Not an official reseller. Game keys can be stolen or invalid. You are not supporting the devs buying from there.

      • lol, how is Cdkeys any less legit than Gamesplanet?

        • +1

Gamesplanet get their keys from devs and publishers.
Cdkeys does not - they get them from dubious sources and you can end up with region locked key, a key from a cheap region which can jeopardise your Steam account, invalid or stolen keys.
          That's the difference.

          • @Lysander: From what I read online, cdkeys have a very good reputation. I've only used them once, in 2016, when I bought Starcraft II Legacy of the Void, and had no issues at all.

@AussieZed: Regardless of whether you (or others) have had an issue with buying keys from them or not, it's still questionable where exactly they're sourced from.

              • @magic8ballgag: What about Kinguin? G2A?

                • @AussieZed: Same thing.
That is why those sites are not allowed on Reddit, ITAD etc.

                  • @Lysander: Well the way I see it, the developers do see money from any CD key sale, because someone at some point paid money for that CD key. I don't think many companies would risk their reputation by selling stolen/illegal keys, as such a site would get shut down very quickly.

                    • @AussieZed: Sadly, no. I could tell you where to set up sites so they won't get shutdown even if you sell illegal keys.
Why do you think all these domain blocking court actions are going on? Because it virtually impossible to shut down the sites if hosted in certain countries.
The devs see nothing with stolen keys as the credit card companies take back funds if bought with stolen cards.

            • +1

@AussieZed: I had issues. So had my friends.
I am not saying all keys are bad - many are probably fine.
However, if you want to support devs and get a key from an official source, you should buy elsewhere.

      • Should ban CDKEYS.COM from ozbargain then?

        • As long as people know the risks - we are all adults and can make our own decisions.

  • What a great game and price. Hoping for a Prey 2.

    • So were a lot of people but then this got released instead.
