Looking to fly Coolangatta OOL to Melbourne 24th Dec to 29th or 30th. Wondering what my chances are of a Jetstar or Tiger (for Jetstar price beat) sale for travel during that period. I'm thinking slim.

As someone who has flown return Sydney to Perth every Christmas for the last 7 years, I would say that chances of a sale on Christmas fares after June are slim to none.
Very rare to see price reductions for fares after the 17th of December and before January 4th.

jokes aside, it would be close to impossible as mentioned above for 2019.
Booked my overseas travel for Dec this year since Feb.
Ent book also offers 5% off Jetstar gift vouchers!
The OOL to MEL flight seems reasonable.
The return leg is expensive, but if 29/30 are set in stone, then I don't think the price will go down.
