Want it yes, but the Ozbargainer in me says they can make it cheaper :)

  • +4

If I apply the $10 a week drop rate of The Division 2 and Far Cry 5, can comfortably say I can get paid to play this eventually.

  • +42

Its made by EA games, buyers beware

    • +33

Absolutely waiting for user reviews before going anywhere near this

      • +9

Might be better off waiting for the 5th patch.

        • +5

if they dont abandon it by then…

    • -3

Respawn's Vince Zampella confirmed an earlier twitter post saying the game is single player only, no multiplayer, no micro transactions and no loot boxes.

      • +22

That is, up until they change their mind.

      • +16

So no incentive to patch it after release

        • Respawn might have a contract where EA funds patches for x period.

      • +3

No loot boxes, but what about "surprise mechanics"?

      • +2

Proof? they say that all the time yet always add that junk.. why are you def them? lol..sad.

    • +3

The gameplay just looks like a Tomb Raider but lightsabers.

      • +4

        I'll take it.

  • -1

MMM yes, can't wait to get home and play my "Pre-order"
    :P hehe

  • +13

I’d be waiting for reviews for this one.

    • +4

      yes this. History dictates.

  • +8

    lol, learn your lesson people

  • +11

Pre-ordering an EA game? Not even Jar Jar Binks is that stupid…

    • -5

I really see no reason in not pre ordering. Wait for reviews, and if its good then you get the deluxe version for a pretty good price. If not then cancel and no harm done.

      • So place effort in pre-ordering, making sure to read reviews in time, and then refunding it.

Or just wait until you check out reviews at some point, whether day of release or three months later.

        • +1

Price may be a lot more expensive by then though

        • As Asterix1 says below sometimes they jack the price up.

And seriously, effort in pre-ordering? What all 3 clicks?

          • @robbiey: Yeah, but you now have to check reviews in time, that is the main problem I have with it. I enjoy games, but I don't check everyday for reviews or release dates, maybe other people are different, but I'd miss reviews before the release date and possibly stuck with a dud.

But I'd also rather wait for some patches to be released too.

Username checks out for posting a pre order for a EA title.

    • Username indicates a guy would be crazy at ($)79. Maybe 68 is a sane amount.

  • return in 30 days for refund. better than eb games.

    • +1

Does amazon refund for open games?

  • Used the $10 amazon prime day coupon to preorder standard edition. Knowing deluxe is now cheaper makes me sad.

  • +3

Wall of text on the Amazon page is hard to read, so this is all you get with the Deluxe version:

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Edition content:
    • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Game "Director's Cut" suite of behind-the-scenes features and content
    • Additional unique cosmetic equipment for your adventure

So it's not like you're getting a bunch of stuff, while the price is still good it's not like some deluxe packages which come with DLC etc.

    • Thanks good idea to mention - I've added what an games has listed.

    Dear Amazon person: PC pls

  • +2

    Remember Anthem.

If you can learn two things from it is don't believe the hype and wait for real user reviews

  • I think the cover looks better on the standard edition. I really hate the new standard of releasing games in 3 or 4 (or more) editions.

  • I will buy this but i will await the reviews to gauge if i buy it for $60>

    Or for $30>

    ….dont trust EA

  • +2

Real friends don't let their friends pre-order games. Not even once.

  • +1

Why would you ever support EA no matter what game it is?

    • -2

Why would you judge a game by it's publisher?
Respawn make good games. Star Wars is good IP. This is a single player game. All of those things together make this a recipe for a good game.

      • +1

        Remember Anthem

Oh EA once said they dont believe in single player games no more

  • Sold. Thanks for the heads-up!

  • +2

definitely in for pirating this as partial remediation for my late but still overoptimistic purchase of battlefront 2.

    • I agree with you in principle, but it's more for the pre-order of Battlefront. At least 2 had an interesting single player mission, whereas 1 didn't even have that saving grace!

      • Yes but I was smart enough to avoid Battlefront 1, and it's lackluster gameplay and limited OC lifespan. I lost IQ between releases and was blinded by the shiny stormtrooper armour for the second. Still licking my wounds.

        • I at least learned my "don't ever pre-order" lesson.

  • +3

You'll need to wait 2 years for this game to be worth putting money out for. EA is hell bent on the failed 'games as a service' model which means you get a game that's basically in beta and you pay them to complete the game over the course of 2 years.

After the state of Battlefront 2 and Battlefield V anyone who pre-orders this does it at their own risk irrespective of how cheap it looks now.

  • The circle jerking in these comments is strong.

    • Strange, they are

    • Which one, that they love the look of it or EA is bad?

  • +1

Oh cool, a new Star Wars Ga… oh wait - it's EA. Never mind.

  • -1

I'm calling it now, this game will be great!! Respawn are phenomenal developers.

  • +1

    price now up to $98…
    :(
