You can still play the original version of the game with this board as well. There's 3-4 minor differences that are barely noticed.
I've got this and we're loving it. Do you know, is it worth still getting the original Pandemic game too?
I think you'll find t the original Pandemic a little dull after Legacy - you feel a lot less invested, and it doesn't have a lot of the interested dynamics that build up through the season.
As zeggie said, you can still play vanilla Pandemic on the board after you're done with the campaign. I'd try that before buying the original.
There's zero reason to buy the original honestly.
Save your money and but Arkham Horror: The Card Game instead! (My all time favourite)

I've got both seasons but yet to play. Pulled it out about a month ago on a Sunday afternoon and then wished I had spent some time reading up prior as it's not a open the box and 'go' kind of game!
Really looking forward to it though - from memory it recommends that if you haven't played vanilla 'Pandemic' before, that you start off with those rules? Is that right?
The first game starts with normal Pandemic rules, but then it … progresses.
Before you start on the campaign, the board and rulebook are basically just classic Pandemic, so it may be worth playing a game or two first to familiarise youself with it before you start the actual campaign. I recall that the rulebook does suggest you do this, if you're not at least a little familiar with Pandemic. Its not complicated though.

Absolutely fantastic game, though be warned it's a Legacy game, so the idea is that the game physically mutates as you play it, you stick rules in the rules book and you're told to tear up cards etc.
It'll last you ~15-20 1-2 hour play sessions in total!
I've got the original Pandemic and enjoyed it a lot, so I've been eyeing this off for months but haven't seen it drop below $70. Excellent deal, thanks OP!

Tried that as well. Wasn't as fortunate, but still got a $15 voucher for my next purchase.

I'd give them a ring. The Amazon Web support is way more rigid than their call centre. If for whatever reason they keep being difficult on the phone, say that you appreciate their help but would like to talk to their supervisor.
They're usually so busy they just approve the credit being applied. Or if they aren't busy, they do it anyway.
I just got this email too. Spent a painful 20 minutes on the phone with Amazon Support, who let me purchase from another seller and then refunded the difference back to me.
Happy they still honoured the price, but that conversation was painful.
