Thanks OP.. upset i missed out on small sized craft gloves but still got a bunch of stuff

  • Now if only this bike store had some bikes on sale ..

    • We are primarily an online bike parts and accessories store, rather than a store for complete bikes (excluding a range of BMX). Sorry for any confusion.

For complete bikes, if you don't want to go to a retail store, suggest someone like Bicycles Online. Their P&A range is about 10% of ours, but they do have a good range of value-priced bikes.

      • Thanks for the clarification :)

  • Oh man… wound up spending $100 on a sale that I was initially planning to stick to only $1 items.

Good timing though, transitioning to biking to work and needed a bunch of accessories to make it easier/safer.

    • Thanks for your order! :-)

    • Happy riding!

      Haha me too.

Should be fun when the package comes in the mail. The missus is going to explode methinks!

  • Too cheap.

  • Any spd-sl pedals? I'm sick of the time system so might come back to Shimano.

  • Are you relocating your current store / cafe?

    • +1

      Hi Mark.

No, certainly not! We love our location in our purpose-built retail store near the train station!

The online retail side of the business was operating from a mezzanine floor at the side of the shop, but outgrew this 2 years ago, and moved out from the shop to a small warehouse in the industrial part of town. We have now outgrown that as well, so we are moving the online business into a larger and more suitable premises.

  • Are these tires tubeless or do I need tubes as well?

    https://www.cyclestation.com.au/2-x-pair-hutchinson-urban-ci…

Looking to pair with the new Aldi MTB to make it a bit more commute friendly.

    • +1

No they aren't tubeless. You will need tubes.
An Aldi MTB is very unlikely to be set up for tubeless anyway.
Tubeless doesn't just work with tubeless tyres, you need tubeless suitable rims or conversion, tubeless tyres, valves, and then sealant to run in the tyres. For an Aldi bike, i'd just grab some tubes rather than worrying about that.

When you say Aldi MTB - do check that it's 700C wheel size BEFORE buying. Most Mountain bikes aren't they will be 26" or 27.5", 700C is a road and commuter bike size. Since exchanges are costly for all involved please check this first.

If 700c Tyres are what you need, these will be the best tubes to go for. https://www.cyclestation.com.au/2x-pair-giant-700-x-35c-45c-…

OR if it's a different tyre size, feel free to reply here with your tyre size and I can recommend so suitable commuter type tyres (Please be aware replies may not always be instant, we are flat out!)

      • Thanks for the quick reply.

Saw the bike in this post.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/479773

A few people in the comments were saying it is set up for 700c but unsure if they were correct.

      • Hey mate,

Can you recommend commuter tyres sizes 29x2.25”

That's the size on the Aldi bike I was talking about below.

        Cheers

        • 700c and 29" are the same rim size, so you can go for any wider 700c tyres for that, such as the ones you were looking at initally. I wasn't familiar with the Aldi bike you were referring to, presumed it would have had smaller wheels.

  • I can't seem to find any 700x25c Presta tubes.

Thanks everyone for their orders - sales went crazy, our biggest day ever.

We are working very hard to meet normal dispatch times, but please do be patient with us if there is a slight delay with your particular order.

If you need to contact us, the best way is email: [email protected]

Please note that I'm going to have to cut off order changes and "can I please add one more item" type queries at this stage - the volume of orders we have to process (literally hundreds) is just too many to do that at this point. So a new order would have to be placed if you find something else (and separate postage paid if under $100). Thanks for everyone's understanding.

  • Hi OP, any helmets you can recommend for kids? Do you think any of heavily reduced Giant helmets in size small would be ok?

    • +1

Measure their heads got 1 for my kids says 51cm to 55cm.

      • +2

As sharktowin said, measure their heads. But yes, most older kids will be a size small.
For smaller kids, the following ones are on sale and are exceptional value at this price (limited stock though)

Great sale! Thanks the team at Cycle Station! \m/

  • Placed my order on Wed afternoon, didn't get dispatch email till Sat night (which I assume means it's being picked up by the courier today on Monday afternoon). My friend ordered Friday morning, got dispatch notice same day and tracking says on for delivery today. A bit miffed that orders aren't being dispatched in order.

    • +1

      Hi KayDat,
They are in general being dispatched in order wherever possible, however, there were a small number of products that we had accidentally oversold, in one case to quite a number of customers. Fortunately, rather than letting customers down by saying sorry we just can't supply that and refund it, in all but a couple cases we were able to get in more from our supplier so that we could provide what was ordered.

I don't know which order is yours, but based on the timing I would suspect that's the reason. We are working as hard as we can to get all orders out promptly, and as you correctly saw we did an extra day's work on Saturday when we don't normally have staff working on Saturdays, to try to get everyone's order out as promptly as possible. Thanks for understanding.

  • Any chance to bring this price down https://www.cyclestation.com.au/shimano-bike-cycling-pedals-…
    Thanks

    • +1

      Hi there,
I"ve reduced them by $10, did a check and that's $4.95 cheaper than anyone else I could find online from a quick search.
Hope this helps. I know it isn't a big discount, but margins with Shimano are super tight so that's the best I can do.

  • Received order with a missing item :(

Sent an email hopefully easily sorted

    • Hi there,
Sorry to hear there was an issue.
I'm not sure of your name or order number but based on your description I believe this one has been responded to.
If not, please send me a PM with your details and I'll follow it up further.
      Matt

  • Received my order but was sent wrong items (incorrect Craft bibs shorts). Sent emails on Sunday and today (Monday) but no reply. Not good….

    • We have the correct ones here and have sent you an email with details required to get this sorted out.
