Just wondering if this is still worth it with all of the new monitors coming out?

Definately worth. I got the PG279 myself, which uses a simliar panel. I figured that the monitor is a part on a PC that I will highly re-use. I did with my old one. So I figured spending the extra $$ is worth it. And at the price you posted above, definitely. Bought mine with near RRP just with PLE discount code. Wanted the local return if required since spending > $800.

Bought my PG279Q a few years ago for almost $1000, no regrets at all. Only problem is once you go high refresh rate, using all your other devices feels like vomit

I went from my 2009 BenQ which was stuck at 60hz 1080p, awful TN panel,

When I got this it was like playing GTA5 as a new game
