Someone tell me why this over coles cheaper $/L dishwashing liquid offerings.

Anyone have a choice subscription or just general knowledge on which dishwashing liquid is best or best value?

Somebody has got to have done the research in all of Australia.

    • If it means anything I like morning fresh and find it uses less product for better suds and less work to clean

Best to get the 900ml when half price @ $3something

      • I have used morning fresh before also and I find it is the best dishwashing liquid I have used so far.

We loved next to the ecostore shop in Auckland for 4 years and bought a lot of their products in bulk. I like their handwash, bodywash and some of their toiletries but think their dish washing liquid is one of their worst products.

By far the best washing up liquid on the market is fairy. Nothing else comes close to how concentrated it is and how well it cleans.

      • Thanks for the heads up ok so avoid ecostores dish washing liquid but everything else is okay.

Hmm fairy okay might have to try them because right now my housemates got some unamat massive bleach looking bottle and yeah it says dishwashing liquid but the packaging makes it look like it is industrial cleaning fluids or something.

Seriously I feel like my housemates are trolling me sometimes.. I know they are not from Australia but still I feel like I live with aliens.. yes I know my name is alienc.

        • Unamat is 99c from Aldi for 1L

        • Shouldn't judge dishwashing liquid by the bottle.

Having said that the unamat is similar to the 99c homebrand washing detergent. Not very concentrated, you need heaps to get good suds.

      • Also do you still love next to the ecostore shop πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹πŸ˜œπŸ˜πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“

        • It’s the New Zealand accent coming through

    • I buy it because of the ingredients. I use so little per wash anyway I'd rather pay the bit extra.

Ecostore gets 43%,which is dismal when just water was 41%!
BTW, the best by far is the Morning Fresh Ultra Concentrate Ultimate at 82%, next was Woolworths Select Shine Pro at 68% (much cheaper than the Morning Fresh, but it looks like the Morning Fresh Ultimate goes half price occasionally).

      • Quote your references (choice.com.au)

        • It looks like my reply to AlienC's question got unlinked somehow, so I didn't need to quote (as it was a direct response). But I agree, actual references are the way to go (in this case Choice's latest dishwashing liquid review). The review was updated earlier this year, it's changed from a few years ago, as we used to get the Aldi Tandil Ultra (which does poorly this time).

BTW, I crunched the numbers, and out of the top 6 or so performers, if you bought the MF Ultimate on a 50% off special, it would be the best performing & also the cheapest per # of dishes washed.

          • @BlueMM: That is the current plan.

Buying Morning Fresh Ultimate when it goes on special.

Probably grab some Earth Choice for now because of the comment that said ecostore dish washing liquid is bad (other ecostore products good).

Then wait for the sale on Morning Fresh Ultimate.

Now gotta do more research on laundry powder as I'm not sure which one is the good one just been switching between the Coles homebrand one $3.70 for 4kg and the Aldi laundry powder one forgot the price but it was rated high iirc on choice.com.au

      • Finish Regular Rinse Aid For Drier & Shinier Dishes = $21.00
        Morning Fresh Ultimate = $12.30
        Organic Choice = $10.00
Morning Fresh Super Strength = $8.30
        Morning Fresh = $8.10
Morning Fresh Ultra Concentrate = $7.70
Palmolive Ultra Original Dishwashing Liquid = $7.30
        Fairy Platinum = $5.60
Earth Choice Dish Wash Concentrate = $3.90
        Coles Ultra Concentrate = $3.80
        Coles Ultra = $3.00
        Earth Choice = $2.00
Coles Lemon Super Strength = $1.95
        Coles Lemon = $1.00

My wife swears by anything ecostore. I think there must be a bit of a fandom for them. Their products are meant to contain less of the harmful chemicals, so they’re not exactly going for the best value approach.

      • I might be a fan of them soon also if I can find a decent priced supplier.

Ecostore and Earth Choice seem to be the best companies at the moment if you care remotely at all about the people, the animals and the environment.

      • My wife likes ecostore dishwashing liquid too. She says earth choice needs more water to rinse off.

  • thank you! order 1litre one!

  • Maybe i dunno what I'm missing out on but I'm happy with Aldi's $1/L stuff.

    • It's okay but I think Coles $1/L smells lightly better as for how well it kills genes and sanitises no idea.

    • Have you tried the better $2.50-3 bottles? Even the aldi one. I find you need waaay more of the $1 stuff to get good suds. It all does the job though

  • Same price in Woolworth as well
