  Alot of their shoes are made by Loake and Barker and comparable to the Loake 1880 line. So yes, I would say cheap/great value at this price.

  The Herring Churchill II is beautiful.
  I have wide feet though, so CT shoes look to be better suited to my feet. In either case I have no need for Oxfords, or new shoes for that matter lol.

    Way better than your typical mall shoe.

    Most mall shoes (florsheim, hush puppiies etc) are cemented (the upper leather is glued to the sole). These Herrings are blake stitched, so the sole is stitched using a machine to the upper leather. If you like the design and want to keep it for longer, stitched shoes mean you can replace the sole when it gets worn out. Assuming you take care of the upper leather.

        Oh i picked one that was blake. I believe the others are goodyear welted
