Story leaves a lot to be desired but it's the best 3d action game ever made.

If red dead 2 had the Mgs v gameplay. Would of been greatest game of all time

The story and mission design is interesting at the start, but it runs out of steam right about where Hideo left XD

Exactly this, around 3 hours in of a direct run this game drops dead and becomes a poor sand box game because it was finished by a bunch of robots with zero creational input. They were just told to patch it up and put it up for sale because HK had ran overtime and insulted one of the Konami bigwigs.

        • +1

Yep. That Konami bigwig unfortunately became THE Konami bigwig, and was solely responsible for ending the Kojima/Konami partnership.

@aja12: But think of the wonderful contra pachkino machines we have!

        • I don't know about poor

Doing the extra bits required to get s rank is fun

I guess each to their own but I could sneak into outposts and bases and leave zero trace except every guard knocked out for hours.

          Which I did

Mgs v was my most played game according to that Sony timeline thing last year

    • Act 1 was fantastic story wise. Act 2 was a repetitive snooze fest.

How good was the hospital? I was enthralled and feeling MGS4 vibes as well as a bit of PT.

Such an awesome way to start the game

        • It was terrifyingly brilliant. Wasn’t expecting to feel a bit anxious during an action game that’s for sure.

As I said, not too sure about console pricing - I normally only dabble in PC deals.
However, I just checked and EB Games has very limited stock. For example, Hobart is out of stock and so are the surrounding five stores.
So this might still be a good deal whose local EB Games stores have no stock.

      • Fair point :)

I feel I need to point out that Hideo Kojima made this game.

You would never know from playing it, so I'm just letting everyone know!

    • "You would never know from playing it"

You probably can't read. At the start of the game it says Directed by Kojima.

Some of you people need a sense of humor. He was poking fun at the fact that this line appears more than 60 times. And all because Konami told Kojima he couldn't put that on the box. So he put it in the credits of every side mission instead.
