Phone Plans with International Calling

Moving back to Aus after about 7 years in Canada where phone plans suck (I’m paying $50 for 8GB which is an amazing deal, previously paid $55 for 2GB which is quite a normal plan)…

There’s so many options in Aus for phone plans that I’m overwhelmed. Any recommendations for:

  • international calls to Canada
  • minimum 8GB data
  • unlimited texts to Canada
  • as well as local and national calls within Aus

I am with Amaysim PAYG because I had been visiting every 6 months or so and kept my account active. Their deal for $40 gives 45GB data and 300min intl incl Canada. But it still seems quite steep. Hoping someone knows of a better plan than this.

    Boost.com.au uses the Telstra network and has a number of plans which are cheaper - $30 every 28 days will give you 20Gb, unlimited calls and texts to Canada, as well as unlimited Australian calls and texts.

    They also have a number of other plans that may be better for you.
