Wow that is absolutely attracting vandalism

  • Although it says that is windproof, I can't imagine it holding it's shape or being very stable on a windy day. The back and forth motion of the straps will probably destroy the paint around where it's tied (mirrors and door handles).

It doesn't really show how it sits on the roof either.

    • Yea,,, wind is one of the factor i'm worry about but summer don't get that windy around here…
It uses a suction cup like mechanism to hold it down…

TBH, I wouldn't waste my time or money on that. If you're that worried about the sun, either don't drive it to work or get a normal outdoor car cover (you'll probably get asked lots of questions if use a car cover every day though - but then again, the one you've linked would probably generate even more questions!).

Clever people use a tent cover to protect their car cover from the wind.

Good job for finding that OP. Bizarre idea of the week award for you!

  • Suction cups? Ugh how strong are those?

    Get automatic one instead, OP!

i'm worry about the battery under hot sun might turn my car to a convertible…

Would make it a bit difficult to see when driving imo. Avoid.

    Lol, thread of the year.

  • There really is an invention for everything. I use a windscreen reflector thing and leave my windows down about an inch (I do have a 20 year old ute though). Works well for me.

  • Only works if you sikaflex it to your car when you first install

Sunshade + tinting for a more practical solution.
