bought this 8 or so years ago for 150? still going strong

    • same here, recommend especially at this price

    • Ah, back in the AUD-USD parity days. Everything was a bargain.

Mine has been bent, battered and had the sliding plastic cover broken, but it's still going strong.

Sorry, this one from AMAZON US seems nicer? 33.13USD= 48.44AUD, shipped.

    • 128GB vs 256GB?

      • NAH, the price is for 256gb…

        • Yeah got thrown off by the link.

Anyway you have to account for GST so the total comes to US$36.44

  • Are these the USBs that get really hot? Or is that another brand. It seems like a good price for a 256gb thumdrive.

That’s those mini Sandisk I think.
I’ve used a smaller one of these for years now, it’s my go to for making a bootable iso to run windows or is x

      • Ah ok. I decided to read some of the reviews and it's mixed responses. Some people saying theirs failed and that you if bought one years ago (2014) they were good. But if you bought one recently the USBs are worse quality-slower read, write, etc.

Still undecided whether to take a chance or not.

  • The cap is very hard to slide open and shut. You might eventually break it. Bad design. Otherwise, good price.

Yeah, it's definitely not the smoothest retractable cover but after it cracked I just taped it with some Scotch Tape (not too tightly) and ever since then it's worked flawlessly as it now has sufficient clearance move back and forth a bit more easily.

This product actually improves once you break it.
