[Switch] Untitled Goose Game - $22.50 (Normally $30, Launch Price Discount) @ Nintendo eShop

1910

The most anticipated game of 2019 has just released.

Easily in the conversation for GOTY, maybe even GOAT. Definitely GGGOAT (Greatest Goose Game of all time)

I believe this is also an Australian made title, so be sure to support this while it's discounted from RRP!

Sold, I don't even need to look at reviews

There's no title for the game..

      <response with no content>

  • Amazing price, thank PO!

If you don't already have the eShop dollars
    https://www.vooks.net/bargain-alert-nintendo-eshop-credit-is…

    • Can you use eGift cards to buy eshop credit?

      • +3

No you can't, unfortunately (at least you couldn't last time it was on sale.)

    • +3

I guess 15% won't come around anymore.. last couple have been 10%. Time to restock!

Never thought I'd be spending so much on digital titles, but the switch is making me switch (pun intended) to digital.

      • +2

The fact that the NSO vouchers are still live in our region compared to the US makes this pretty tempting also.

Yeah I might have to grab a few $60's again like the last deal. I much prefer and am a digital only guy too.
Grabbing these and taking advantage of the Voucher offers pretty much brings AAA's down to the Amazon/JBHIFI/Big W physical deals that are posted here all the time.

Had no clue this was coming up guess I'm getting another 2 game pass

    • +1

Comes at a good time for those of us who need to renew their "Family" Online Subscription

    • +1

      Google Play as well! Nice.

  • +1

    Serious review anyone?

    • +71

      Honk

    • +2

Review embargo will be lifted within a day or so, while this 25% off deal lasts until October 4th.

You'll have a bit of time to check out the general consensus.

      • No, seriously, any reviews?

        • +2

A couple of people have posted their impressions on Reddit. But I don't think you'll get any considered feedback for atleast a day.

          • +1

@Ninternet: Hot dang, so the game's only 2 hours long. I suspected it wouldn't be very long, but that's taking it to a whole new level.

            • +3

@deadpoet: My Friend Pedro, Pikuniku, What Remains of Edith Finch and many more critically acclaimed and enjoyable Indies are only around that length.

              I don't have a problem with it

          • @Ninternet: This review made me laugh. I think it actually sold me on the game. I am getting it!

          • @Ninternet: Aka: one individual's opinion

      • Sometimes means the game isn’t any good. They lower the price at launch, recoup some development cost and finally lift review embargo.

Either way, I’ll be purchasing to support the local games industry.

        • +4

Probably more based on gaming the eshop and trying to get in the 'best sellers' list. If a game can't get in that list it is fairly hard to get noticed on the eshop as it does not have any curation.

          • +1

@bulletbill88: Ah that makes sense also! Reddit seems to like it which is a decent sign.

        • I'll support them, when they release on steam. (profanity) the epic fail store.

  • +21

This game is Victorian made, highly supporting the locally made game!

    • +4

Can confirm the statement above, friend of a friend

  • +9

    Honking intensifies

  • +2

Looks entertaining, and it's made in VIC. I'm buying it. Thanks OP!

  • +2

Bought it, it’s a fun game for the price point :) would be nicer if you had multiplayer co-op on the switch but regardless it’s worth it

  • +1

Support amazing local games like this yall!

  • +1

Completed the first to do list.

Utterly magnificent, perfect blend of aesthetic and slapstick humour. Kids cracked up at the increasing and unfurling antics as we messed with the poor gardener.

    • +2

Tldr: good for 2 to 3 hours of fun and that's it.

      • +3

        Aka: one individual's opinion

    • +2

Some soulless commentary in there, lol.

$20 to have a wholesome giggle is bloody great value.

  • +5

Finally a game that gets me

  • I wonder it has multiplayer geese attack.

    Honk, honk, Honk, HONK!

    …they actually have teeth.
Hold + to get hidden goose.

    Here comes a new goose.

    Dark Goose.

  • im enjoying the game, cleared first 2 levels so far and having a break. honk

    • just finished it, theres around 2-3hrs of gameplay. was fun, but is quite short.

      • +1

Does it fit the "short and sweet" or "just right" length do you think?

        • its about right, any longer itd get repetitive. it would be a good flight/travel game a lot more so than a home experience.

          • +1

@stwok: I felt like a cockatoo at times, just tormenting for the fun of it. Just picking things up and smashing pint glasses.. fun fun.

Untitled Cocky Game should be the next DLC!

        • And people were complaining Link's Awakening was short lol

  • +1

I'll probably never get to play it as its the kids switch… but Australian game development industry supported…HONK.

  • How do u get the sun hat on the farmer?

(Notes: The following comments contain spoilers, to view them, click + to expand comments)

    • +1

When the farmer puts his hat down to do gardening, steal it and hide it in the shrubs

    • +1

      SPOILER
Once you've completed the other tasks, he puts a No Goose sign up. Honk when he hammers it in and he'll hit his thumb and fall over. Steal his hat as he gets up and run into the bushes.

  • This game is cute and fun! Thanks

  • Loving it so far. Have only just discovered the secret extra menu of tasks!

  • Happy to see and support more great games by local devs.

    • +1

Get that bad attitude the honk out of here

  • +3

Bought this and yeh it's quite short, but I still haven't finished the speed runs. Waiting for the sequel, untitled ibis game…

    • +1

      Untitled bin chicken game*

  • Have the capacity to run…..alternatively acquired games on my switch, but decided to purchase this one. We have to support local developers where we can; there’s so much untapped potential in Australian Game Development Studios that goes to waste due to inadequate funding.
