This is one of those (Uh Oh) moments where the YouTube review (of the film) which is free to watch, is better than paying to watch the actual film.

As Hollywood has become increasingly averse to risk, as profits continue to climb, every major film has become boring.

  While I somewhat agree with you, I think the term ‘boring’ applies to more main-stream ‘blockbuster’ films like Fifty Shades of Grey / Avengers etc.
  The film in the review I linked is more of a ‘bad’ film, which in Fred Durst’s defence can even happen with ‘great’ directors.
  Example: Brian De Palma’s recent film ‘Domino’ (sorry to those who liked it but it clearly fell flat on its face IMO).
