Recommend Me Women's Gym Shoes Suitable for Wide Feet

The most comfortable gym shoes I've ever owned were a pair of ASICS Kayano 20. I have wide feet and am looking for new gym and running shoes. Your recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Also, being ozbargain, I'd love to hear your suggestions as to where I can purchase them from at a reasonable price :)

    Men's shoes are wider

    • This, I have wide feet too and usually end up getting men's shoes. If they're only runners there's little difference between men's and women's unless you want them in pink or something.

If you're looking for going out or work shoes (so men's shoes won't cut it) I recommend Diana Ferrari in the "C" sizing (eg 10C). They are extra wide.

  • New balance do a 4E

Shoes such as the Kayano come in different widths. Go to a decent sports shoe shop and get properly fitted and go from there.

Brooks also have a variety of widths available.

  • My podiatrist recommended Brooks Adrenaline, they come in a wide fitting.

  • Reebok nanos are great all rounders. My 1st 3s lasted me 7 years at gym and every hike I have been on since.

I have wide feed with a narrow v-shaped heel. I also have small feet. There's three pairs of shoes that I've found work for me:

    • Brooks Ghost. This are my go-to shoe. Now is a great time to buy as the new model has been released so the old model is on clearance. They come in D widths (and 2E in mens) but I find the normal width is fine for me.
    • New Balance 880. A great general shoe for me. I wouldn't run over 10-15km in them but they are good for short distances.
    • Brooks Launch 5. These are a little narrow but wearable. They're a light, responsive shoe. Less cushioning than the Ghosts so only good for less than 10km runs.

If you're looking to buy cheap running shoes, I recommend signing up to Running Heroes. When you run you accumulate points which you can turn into discounts. I recently got an extra 20% off my already on sale Brooks Ghost 11s from the Brooks website using a discount code from there. Also, I got 20% off my slightly less discounted Ghost 12s from Running Warehouse.

Another way I get cheaper running shoes is being part of a couple of running gear related Facebook Buy/Sell groups. People are always buying the wrong size, or the wrong shoe and not returning them in time. It's a great way to try out shoes you think might work for you.
