Are Ishka Products Really Fair-Trade?

So now the Oxfam shop has closed in Australia, I have a shopping hole in my life.

They always provided the name, information about, (and sometimes even a photo) of the manufacturer/producer of all their products.

Ishka does not do this. I emailed them once to ask for the same kind of info, and all they gave me was the country.

Reading their ethics statement it seems pretty clear they don't have fair trade policies.
I have no reason to think they aren't telling the truth about their sourcing, but since they go out of their way to mention they do buy from child labour in certain circumstances, and make no mention of fair pay, I think it is fair to conclude they aren't doing much more than some random ebay vendor.
If I had such a shopping hole, I might try and fill it at Etsy?

    • it's not really the same… etsy sellers are all very… western? as well as the fair trade, i loved shopping the world at oxfam.
