Selling Velocity Gold on eBay

Hey Guys,

I have had a look at the VA Website in regards to the companion Gold, I have earned enough Status Credits to now gift someone Gold in 12 months. Now I have already Gifted my Wife Platinum and have no one else to gift Gold to, I have had a look at the velocity rules and cant find anywhere where it states that this is against the rules.

I just dont want to put this up and then suddenly my velocity account gets suspended!! I have LOTS OF POINTS and am a Platinum till December Next year!

  • You might also fall foul of eBay rules, they stop frequent flyer offers and also lounge pass sales.

    • Naah, there's heaps of Qantas Points sales on there. And some of them been on there for a while. What I am worried about is losing my points and Status.. Well points isn't a problem as I can transfer these to my partner before I post the AD its the Status I am afraid of losing :)

  • "and have no one else to gift Gold to"

    No mates eh?

    • hahaha you got that! Nahh… my mates that travel already are Gold or Plat! So thought I might make a few bucks

  • It's definitely against the rules, so really its at your own risk.

If you really want to sell, I would rely on private sale to people you know rather than online in case you get caught out. Not worth losing your plat over a few bucks

    • Roger!

Nah, definitely not worth losing Plat over it! Hence not too sure if anyone has done it here as yet.

  • I've sent you a PM

  • Ive' got a gold 12 month available if someone wants to PM me

    • How much may it worth?

    • Gone

      • For how much? I'm just trying to figure out if could make sense for me to buy one…

  • what can you do with gold ? what benefits ?
