  Okay I think I’ve figured it out.

  Create a Marvel account via the app or the website.
  Follow the slickdeals link in the OP’s description.
  There, you’ll find the code COMICSDAY. Copy the code.
  Click “See deal”. This will take you to marvel.com (make sure you’ve turned off adblockers).
  Sign in.
  The comics then appeared, ready to be read or downloaded.

  This is what worked for me.
