Changi Airport S$20 Transit Voucher

As noted in previous Deal posts, free Sing$20/($40 China only) vouchers are currently available to eligible passengers transiting through Changi Airport.

The deals are for:

Qantas flights https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/482590 which expires on 31 December 2019; and

Singapore Airlines/SilkAir/Air NZ (some only) flights https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/447967 which expires in 2 days ie 30 September 2019

However I have noticed that the Singapore Airlines Vietnam site https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/vn/plan-travel/local-prom… is showing that the scheme is open until 31 March 2020. It doesn't specify flights to/from Vietnam. However, it does state "Other terms and conditions apply."

It may be worth (otherwise eligible & non-Vietnam) SQ travelers flying after 30 September fronting up to the iShopChangi Collection Centres to see if they can get a voucher.

And reporting back here, of course - as I will be traveling in the middle of October. :)

  • Please do let us know. I will be transiting through Singapore in Nov. Would be nice to still have it then. Going to check out the giant indoor waterfall. :)

  • I will be travelling through Changi on SQ on Oct 2. I will see what I can find out.

  • Yes the voucher is still valid. The lady at the counter immediately asked if I was there for the voucher. Handed my passport and boarding pass over and was all done within 2-3mins.

    • Same with me (02 Oct) and I got a souvenir pin of the control tower too! Voucher is valid until April 2020.

  • Are they strict on only giving out the vouchers to the SQ flights listed? My itinerary says SQ5056 and SQ5059

    • Your listed flights - Singapore/Phuket/Singapore appear to be on Silk Air, which should be eligible.

However, this would depend on who you are flying with into and out of Singapore for the rest of the trip.

      • I see, they say Singapore Airlines SQ278 and SQ993 so assume I should be ok? I only have 75 minutes in between flights on the way in but coming back I have a 9 hour layover. Hopefully there won’t be any lines on my inbound flight.

  • if the flight is booked using KrisFlyer points can you still get this transit voucher?

    • +1

Yes. I did on my trip through Changi to Europe last October on SQ booked using KrisFlyer points.

      • Excellent! Thanks for taking time to reply I'll make sure I'll claim mine on Tuesday
