Android Mobile Cloning App

Like so many others here, long time lurker, long story short I've been trying to find an Android app to 'clone' an app in my old Galaxy S7 as it's having hardware issues(bootlooping/screen freeze etc) before hard reset. Due to Samsung changing the accessibility menu, I'm no longer able to bring up a 'secret' menu inside my fuel log app to export years of data therefore my issue. I have tried many, many 'cloning' apps but they simply clone the .apk & not associated data. It seems most Cloning apps are aimed at people wanting to run multiple versions of an app for different user names but this is unhelpful.

Any input greatly appreciated!

Briz!

You are using the wrong word to search for what you want. You should be looking into backup apps and not clone apps

    • OK, I've tried numerous options without success. Maybe my description isn't accurate, I'm wanting to copy the application so it opens up on the phone once it's had a hard reset. Not sure if it's possible or not?

  • titanium backup

    • I actually had/used Titanium backup on my old Garmin/Asus phone back in the day(from memory it had to be rooted?)

If you just want the data from the app, you could just google the location of the data, explore the folder using an app (there's native ones on Samsung) and then copy them to your PC. Probably would just be a CSV or some other easily openable file.

Copy that file to your new phone in the same location and hey presto.

Or use a "backup manager" as the comments above if you want all of your apps.

    • I actually want the app to open back up as if nothing had happened(once I do the hard reset/or new phone if reset doesn't fix it)

  • I've tried a couple of backup apps & can't seem to get them to do it
