Car Tinting - darkest and cheapest in Melbourne (Brunswick area)

Hey guys

What's better, metal or carbon tints? and where should i get it installed?

Is the Tint-a-car 'Octane' the best? They've quoted me $345

  • Don't use metallic tint if you have antennas in the glass (or GPS) because it attenuates the signal.

  • Got it done at Tint-a-car in North Melbourne for $295 (Formula 1) - the final reading was around 35% which is the highest reading you're allowed to stay within the legal limit. They used carbon films for the back windscreen where there's an antenna. The tint-a-car in Coburg quoted the same job at $480.

  • Octane must be new… I have Formula 1 on a car and it looks nice. It's not the darkest, but it does a great job of keeping the heat out.
