Solar quote good value - Brisbane?

Hi all,

Currently looking to get solar installed, around ~7kw system.
Does anyone have any recommendations for companies to use in Brisbane?

Can't comment if the quotes are good but I have used two different companies which I can recommend.

Hawking Electrical and First Choice Solar. Both on the Gold Coast but service Brisbane.

  • If you want the best stuff with the best job
    https://www.positronicsolar.com.au/
Give them a call, no harm in it

  • I'm in NSW but have been reading the blog at MC Electrical in QLD. He does the best reviews and technical explanations of anything solar. He certainly hasn't been afraid to stand up and complain about the reliability of SolarEdge equipment.

I would have given him a go if I was in Brisbane.

I've just just settled on a 8kW system with a 8kW Fronius inverter and 26 Trina panels for mid $7k's. I've then added 6 Trigo optimisers at $80 each for sun shaded panels, a hot water diverter, smart monitor and 5 split arrays due to my roof line. My Trina panels are cheaper than your Canadian or QCell's so your prices are probably around the mark.

    • I've received a quote from them as well for my new place. They are quite thorough and their website explains things quite well. Even though they may not be the cheapest, I feel like I'll go with their quote in the end.

  • For max benefit cover your daytime use and plan not to move for a long time.

Feed in tariffs not worth it anymore. I got back under $10 on my last bill.

Also don't believe sales blurb about increasing property value.
