Not available in Queensland, Western Australia, and the Northern Territory.

    Surely this is stateist?

We get H&S all year round so it's a fair trade ;)

      • Agreed - got all H&S last night. Delicious :)

Anyone tried Red Rooster recently? I find the quality and taste much better than KFC and to think, been having KFC all this time. Try the Hellfire box and get back to me.

Big fan of their megaboxes. Doesn't leave you feeling sorry for yourself afterwards unlike KFC.

      • That's what I found!! What the hell is in KFC???

        • MSG?

          • @whitelie: I guess we don't know how much MSG is in it so you don't know if you're getting an overdose of it.

          • @whitelie: Highly doubt they use it, but MSG is no more unhealthy than table salt.

            • @jds95: Babish reckons it's in the US stuff so probably the same here.
I don't believe it's unhealthy but can give weird side effects. I get real bad hayfever type symptoms whenever I go to Chinatown, they use it by the bucketload!

I had KFC yesterday. I literally PASSED OUT afterwards and woke up 2.5hrs later.

I bought a meal the other night from Red Rooster. Literally pink and bloody around the tender.

I don't think I can ever eat red again :-(

    • +1

no red roosters near where i travel between :(

    • +1

Red Rooster has been good for a few years now (I think since some higher up moved into the business from McDonald's). I do enjoy the Hellfire burger myself, fresh Red Rooster chips are also pretty good (rivals KFC IMO).

    • Shame there aren't any even remotely close to me. There used to be one right down the road from me, but it got replaced over a decade ago

      • I have one across the road and it's always empty, sad to think it could close down while other establishments that are horrible thrive. What with people?

  • Targeted?

  • -3

    How?

I can't see anything on the app about $4 off…

  • +1

yeh targeted i dont see anything on app

  • Saw it pop up before I updated the app… now it's gone?

  • Got this the other day too, signed into the app for the first time in ever and it said no expiration date though, which is a bit weird.

I'd play it safe and use it before the week anyway, but interesting nonetheless.

  • Not been targeted. KFC is no longer my old friend!

  • +3

Well, meh I'll go somewhere else then if KFC doesn't want to target me.

  • +2

Time to make a new account and not use it.

  • Whether or not you have been targeted, 2 zingers (or normal chicken fillet burgers), 2 sides (I usually do the honey mustard shaker salads), 3 cans of drink and a large chips for $12.95 if your local KFC offers a bribe…erm on the spot reward for filling the online survey with all positive feedback. Sometimes they're generous and will allow my fat butt to change the fries to another salad. (The honey mustard sauce means it's not that healthy, but still better than fries).

That's some of the best value takeaway I can find at the moment. Taking $4 off would bring it to $8.95.

I'm a regular user. No wonder I wasn't targeted. No companies value loyalty.

  • I am a regular customer of KFC and i am extremely saddened i wasn't targeted. i feel betrayed.

    • Ditto. Sumting's definitely wong

I don't believe this is grounds to neg the deal - it is correctly listed as 'targeted' - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines
Correct use would be not to vote and comment:

      No Vote
If the deal doesn't apply to you, you don't like the company or you want to leave a warning for people about the business or deal, you can leave a comment and then not vote.

      Appropriate uses of negative vote
      Cheaper price elsewhere
Mention store or URL and price making sure to include shipping.
      Defective product
      The product has been recalled
Major issue with product in that it doesn't work the way it should.
Major issue with retailer: Didn't receive previous purchase; [or] Shipping time exceeding expected wait.

Whilst it sucks they didn't target you, this is common, normally it is to attract people back who aren't regular enough users.

Not targeted either, loyalty my ass.
