Can Someone Tell What Is This and How to Stop These Getting inside The House?

We live in a unit block (first floor) surrounded by huge trees. Lately getting quite a few spiders and not sure how they are getting inside the house. We hardly open the windows and all windows have fly screen.

Any idea how to stop and who is responsible for pet control in strata unit?

Spiders can crawl through the tiniest of cracks and could be getting in anywhere.
I would try and just buy some insect/spider spray that is designed to be used as a repellent and spray it round the door/window seals and see how you go.
    Usually works for me.

    • Thank you. I have sprayed around the house and hopefully we wont see them again.

    That's definitely paper.

Everyone knows scissors cuts paper and paper cover rock.

Just hang a few scissors and do not have any rocks in plain view.

    • Thank you. Very helpful 😁😁

For future reference: it's much easier to identify creatures before you smoosh them.

    • Haha told that to my three years old. She was the one who smashed it into pieces before calling me.

Usually pay attention to turn off the outdoor lighting, and often use curtains to block indoor light. Fruits such as lemon, orange and lime can effectively prevent spiders…

1, chili water. Take the appropriate amount of pepper and add water, then cook for about 30 minutes. Then let the water cool down and filter it.

2, detergent.Or mix the shampoo and water and make them into a ratio of about 10:1. The spray is sprayed into the hand sprayer for spraying the flowers. They should fall from the wall within 15 to 60 seconds.

3, you can buy some insecticides when there are too many spiders in your home.

4, Spiders dislike realgar. You can put some realgar in the place where the spider often appears or in the place where it is netted, so that the spider will not settle in your house.

5, mosquito coils. Mosquito coils not only kill mosquitoes, but also eliminate spiders. If you have an index in your room, you can order some mosquito coils and spiders will not appear.

    • Thank you so much. Very useful

I'd use those insect surface spray. I had a similar issue lotta spiders coming into our balcony making webs so been apply along the perimeter surface spray every year and keeps them out.

    • Thank you. Already sprayed all over the house.

  • Oops double post.

    Looks like a net-casting spider.

Harmless until you lose sight of it, then it's a psychological monstrosity that plays mind games with you while you're trying to sleep in your bed.

      • Haha very true. Couldn't sleep all night thinking about all these spiders…. sigh

      • Close ur mouth and hope for the best

I doubt spiders come near me, I make plenty to noise

They comes thru door gaps or wall ventilations. Install weather strips under your front door or fit mosquito net on wall ventilation.

  • You are new to australia aren’t you?

    • Nope. Been here for 25+ years but never had this issue before.

  • Nuke it from orbit

    • Hail the fleet, commence exterminatus protocol.
