Virgin checked luggage combined?

Hi friends,
I'm flying virgin domestic tomorrow. I bought an extra checked bag. Each bag is 23 kg.

Does anyone know if the two bags are each only allowed to weigh 23 kg? In this instance, they are both listed on my ticket. So not split between passengers.

Can one weigh say 30kg and one 10kg? Or do both have to be 23 kg or less?

Its not a big deal either way but it would be nice to know if once I get to the airport whether I have to fine tune between the two bags.

Thanks

Ps I have briefly looked online and can not ascertain this information.

Each bag 23kg or less :)

Most of the time bags can't be >30 for domestic. It's an OH&S thing for the baggage staff more than anything else.

I'd split everything between 2 bags evenly.

It's maximum of 23kg per bag unless you're business class which allow 32kg per bag. You will pay a 'heavy luggage' surcharge if you go over 23kg.

  • Ok, cool thanks everyone.
