Anyone play Forza online?

So I picked up the cheap JB HI-FI Logitech G920 deal back when they had the price error. I’ve never really used it, so I pulled it out yesterday and starting playing Forza, as I got Bathurst withdrawals from not attending this year.
Anyone keen to play online? I just did the $1 gold and game pass trial.
Forza Motorsport 6 is on gamepass so sign up to the $1 trial, which has Bathurst on it.
It’s good fun!

  • I'm rank 8/20 in horizon4 online, it's awful in terms of player attitude and network code.

People always run the same meta cars and they're unbeatable in that class - copy or be pushed out.

If you're laggy whatsoever you see people pop in and out of the race or start flying, and crashes are fairly common.

Motorsport is much better. Less demolition derby, more professional respectful racing.

Yeah I've seen that on a few vids. Cars that are far too OP in certain classes on the right tune

I play FH4 occasionally but certainly not competitive.

BTW how do you get 8/20 ranking? As in 8th star level thing?

      • right tune

Not even that, it's just the PI system isn't balanced right.
Trackt-tor AWD swap in B, AWD swap Bone Shaker in A, Ford GT in S1 are broken as hell, but S2 is balanced (yet chaotic as more speed = more chaos).

And yeah the rank is just that, I've been higher but rank drops due to not playing as much (HSC kicking in).

  • I used to play FH2 online, but lost interest when I was racing against mainly shaded out DLC and “pay to win” cars. Almost every race was a demolition derby and every class was a single make class race. If one car dominated, you would line up with a grid full of the same vehicle.

And the lag, jeebus cripes, the lag was unbearable. Cars all over the track. Bouncing in the air. Hovering above the track. Ended up shifting to “ghost cars only” racing to try and avoid the petty trolls and the laggy bouncers.

    • FH4 did away with a lot of that sorta stuff. There's still OP cars, but they did away with wall-riding (it actually slows you down), and cars go ghost when the game detects a collision (unless it's a side-swipe).
