High Quality Work Pants

So ive upgraded my shoes and shirts (TM Lewin) however my pants are still entry level myer ones which dont really look that nice anymore. I noticed the higher end, 100% cotton/wool pants look really slick!

Any recommendations on where to go (Melbourne) to try on and see some high quality, however not overly expensive (this is ozbargain after all) suit pants or even business casual chinos.

I can see some pants going for $250 each, is this considered a lot? Maybe i just need to re-wire my brain as im used to buying $30 chinos!

    What's wrong with looking slick?

    • Not sure your interpretation but I meant it in a good way?

      • I thought you meant you didn't like glossy pants.

I meant slick as in swagger.

        • ah ok. im not sure if they make 'glossy' suit pants but that wouldnt be the look im going for either way!

just something business casual, that you can tell isnt cheap just by looking at them, if that makes sense

but dont take it that i want to come across as a wanna be rich douche bag, i just dont want to look like i do my shopping at a budget outlet either.

  • UNIQLO?

In my experience, uniqlo chinos can't last long. Maybe going for CT black chinos they look quite good. Too bad TM Lewin don't have any black chinos at all!

Pretty cheap though depends for what? Got a link to these?

DJs is still good for men's wear. Their website might be terrible but they do still carry top brands that you can try on.

Oxford would be worth a try as well.

    I'd check uniqlo as well.

  • Do you wear suits to work?

    • Besides a jacket and tie, yes, the rest of the outfit is suit pants, shoes and shirt

I don’t like the cotton/polyester mix pants, especially in warmer weather, id rather something that breathes

Check out Calibre - they have certain styles in a wool/cotton combination fabric
