Best Price for 2019 Toyota Kluger GX?

We are considering the 2019 Kluger GX and was wondering what deals everyone has gotten on this car? There is an offer at the dealership right now for the GX - $43,990 drive away. Could this be negotiated to say, $40,000 or would that be unrealistic?

Also would it be better to wait until 2020 to get this car (would it be significantly cheaper being the previous year model or would the difference be marginal?)
Thanks

    Cash or trade in??
    Will u be wanting accessories?
Mats and full tank can always be included for $0

    • trading in a territory (only worth a few grand) and paying the rest. Not really after accessories apart from the mats.

      • Mats & full tank are a given.. ask for them $0.
With trade in you are talking change over $… very different.
So u looking to add $37k to your territory for a drive away new GX 2wd?
Is that your happy to buy number?

Should be possible @ 37k change over unless the terri is very bad?
Go in and be prepared to sign and pay deposit there and then. Don't be just looking.
They may try to squeeze an extra k or two… prob go an extra 1k if you can, if not leave it. If it is close enough they will grab it. Try a couple of other dealers. I have seen where what one dealer baulks at saying it is impossible another will beat by several K.

          • @Cheeper: terri isn't too bad. And yeah $37k would be good. Cheers

              @jsrz18: Go for it.
Great car too unlike most others they are very durable and reliable. Nice to drive and cheap to service. If you have a local reliable mechanic get it serviced there.
The only thing I dont like is the head unit. I prefer a pure android one and installed a good chinese one in my 2012.

Toyota make great cars but at dealership servicing level most fail miserably.
Have a 2012 Kluger and a 2016 Aurion both bought new.

I think the 2020 model has been released in the US but not a lot of change from what I can see.
The US site Toyota Nation would be the place to look up that.

Depends on stock levels and dealer situation re sales bonuses from factory

    • Isn't there a rumour of a hybrid version for next year as well? Could explain the 'run out' pricing. Spackbace will know for sure.

      • I saw the same thing somewhere. Not sure how popular they will be. Have had them in the US for a few years now along with 4cyl versions. I have seen a couple here in the last year or so.. private imports?

new model coming out next year, so if you want the new model get that. OR you wait for the new model so this 2019 model will drop in value then you snag a bargain

    • I saw the recent news the new model may delay in Australia may have to wait for a long time

  • I have seen a few ads recently offering the 2019 GX 2WD for $41,900 drive away.
