Dusk candles - low fragrance?

Hey,

Just curious what people think, my purchases at Dusk have been very hit and miss. I like to shop here for the leftover candles that end up with significant discounts, but I find that before much burning they lose their fragrance.

Just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. Candles from K-Mart have had stronger fragrance lol.

Cheers.

Hmm. I wonder if the two might be linked.

    • Well yeah fair go, but it's all stuff that would've been front shelf two months ago. Idk is shelf life on candles short?

      • Candles no, wax will last forever. But the fragrances depend on complex volatiles, which as the name suggests, vaporise very easily and will fade quickly after manufacture.

  • I use to love Dusk candles! I was told they were once made in Australia and now they outsourced to somewhere in China and so went their quality. Sometimes I like to splurge and spend $43 on a Glasshouse candle (probably my favourite). These are great as you can even smell it with the lid open. Light it for 15-20 mins and your room will smell great all day! However you hardly see these go on sale unless you're shopping in the Airport. I mainly use Ecoya candles, not as great as Glasshouse but they go on sale quiet often at Myers and Bed Bath Table.
